RN- Surgical Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
An opportunity to join Trinity Health Livonia as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Progressive Care Unit. Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including emergency services, general medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, intensive care, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and women's health. The hospital has received numerous awards for clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, and efficiency. The 2 South unit is a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in post-operative care for various surgical patients, such as those undergoing bariatric procedures, joint replacements, hip fracture repairs, and treatments for bowel obstructions and cholecystitis. This telemetry-equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and can manage cardiac drips. Nurses on this unit are proficient in wound and drain care, pain management, and delivering comprehensive recovery support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position, scheduled for 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, including a weekend rotation and holiday commitment.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
- BLS required
- Computer proficient
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
- Previous medical surgical experience preferred
Responsibilities
