About The Position
This is a benefited, full-time 12-hour OR RN position with call for neuro surgeries. We are expanding and are looking for an RN with a strong skill set circulating neuro-spine surgeries. Located at Scripps Mercy Hospital-San Diego. This position includes an Incentive of $4K and a Relocation Incentive of $3K to eligible new hires. Join our busy and close-knit Surgery Department team as a Perioperative RN. Here you will work amongst the 10 Operating Room Suites in trauma, ortho, spine, urology, bariatric, plastics, robotics and general.
Requirements
- One year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association provider).
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English.
- Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Neuro spine circulating experience is strongly preferred
- 2 or more years OR experience
- Previous OR Charge experience
- EPIC system experience
- PeriOp 101 course
- Well rounded experience in all service lines
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.
- Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
