About The Position

Join our busy and close-knit Surgery Department team as a Perioperative RN. Here you will work amongst the 10 Operating Room Suites in trauma, ortho, spine, urology, bariatric, plastics, robotics and general. Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

• One year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room
• California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association provider).
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English.
• Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• 2 or more years OR experience
• Scrubbing experience is preferred
• Trauma experience- Level 1
• Cardiac experience is preferred
• Previous OR Charge experience
• EPIC system experience
• PeriOp 101 course
• Well rounded experience in all service lines
