About The Position

This is a benefited, full-time 12-hour day shift Cardiac OR RN position with a starting time of 6:30 am - 1900 and call shifts. The location is at Scripps Mercy Hospital-San Diego. This position includes an Incentive of $4K and a Relocation Incentive of $3K to eligible new hires. Join our busy and close-knit Surgery Department team as a Perioperative RN. Here you will: work amongst the 10 Operating Room Suites in cardiac, trauma, ortho, spine, urology, bariatric, plastics, robotics and general. Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • One year of recent RN circulating Cardiac experience in the Operating Room
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association provider).
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • 2 or more years OR experience
  • Scrubbing experience is preferred
  • Trauma experience- Level 1
  • Neuro circulating experience is preferred
  • Previous OR Charge experience
  • EPIC system experience
  • PeriOp 101 course
  • Well rounded experience in all service lines
