About The Position

The Nurse Supervisor is a designated clinical leader responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing patient care operations within the Acute Cardiac Unit. Working in collaboration with the Department Director, this role ensures high-quality, safe, and efficient care delivery while promoting staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and service excellence in alignment with Trinity Health’s Mission and values. This is a full-time, 36-hour night position.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Maryland or Compact State
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three (3) years of Acute Cardiac nursing experience

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience
• Experience in cardiac or intermediate care settings

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and operational leadership for the Acute Cardiac IMC Unit during assigned shift
• Coordinates patient care delivery, staffing assignments, and daily workflow based on acuity and census
• Supervises nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices
• Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements
• Participates in development and implementation of patient care standards and evidence-based practices
• Supports quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives
• Facilitates staff orientation, training, and professional development
• Promotes a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care
• Serves as a clinical resource and professional role model for staff
