About The Position

Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, Oklahoma, is hiring an RN Supervisor to oversee weekend nursing operations at a facility specializing in long-term and rehabilitative care. The position supervises charge nurses and other caregivers, ensures clinical systems and programs function as intended, and oversees resident care. The RN Supervisor contributes to a positive resident experience through quality, compassionate healthcare and supports the facility’s mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet the needs and expectations of patients and residents.

Requirements

Current, valid RN licensure in the state of practice.
Management or supervisory experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet residents’ needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Observe patients, chart, and report changes in their conditions.
Answer patient calls and determine how to assist them.
Provide basic patient care and treatments.
Work with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physicians’ orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
Oversee and monitor subordinate staff functions and activities.
Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
Monitor infection-control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
