About The Position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in managing patient care and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and procedures.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for consumers with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Ensures continuity of care when admitting, discharging, referring, or transferring a consumer.
• Supervises and implements admission protocols for services.
• Administers and transcribe medications as ordered by the physician.
• Must have functional knowledge of the Baker Act and Marchman Acts.
• Proficiency in assessment and crisis intervention techniques.
• Managerial and supervisory skills are necessary.
