About The Position
The RN Supervisor coordinates administrative and clinical functions for a defined resident population and time frame to help ensure an effective and efficient environment for residents, families, and staff. The role focuses on compassionate care, nursing operations, performance metrics, communication with families, issue resolution, recordkeeping, and admissions.
Requirements
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved RN program.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in California.
- Current valid CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- 2–4 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple patients or residents preferred.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing environment desirable.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure nursing operational standards are met.
- Provide reports on productivity, quality, and customer service metrics.
- Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions.
- Handle complaints or other issues.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family, and friends.
- Keep records of nurses’ files, patients’ cases, and procedures.
- Handle admissions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
