About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our healthcare team in Waterloo, NY. The RN Supervisor will provide clinical leadership and oversight, ensuring high-quality resident/patient care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with applicable healthcare standards and regulations. Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted New York State RN license.
  • Minimum 1 year of nurse experience in a Long Term Care Setting required
  • Previous nursing experience required; supervisor/clinical lead experience over multiple units required
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a nursing team.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, professional, and dependable approach to patient/resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff during the evening shift.
  • Provide clinical guidance and direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other care team members.
  • Monitor resident/patient care and ensure individualized care plans are followed.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in condition and medical emergencies.
  • Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Conduct rounds and assess residents/patients for changes in condition.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and medication administration.
  • Assist with staffing, assignments, and maintaining appropriate shift coverage.
  • Promote compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Address clinical concerns and assist with resolving issues that arise during the shift.
