Requirements

Current and unrestricted New York State RN license.
Minimum 1 year of nurse experience in a Long Term Care Setting required
Previous nursing experience required; supervisor/clinical lead experience over multiple units required
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a nursing team.
Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compassionate, professional, and dependable approach to patient/resident care.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support nursing staff during the evening shift.
Provide clinical guidance and direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other care team members.
Monitor resident/patient care and ensure individualized care plans are followed.
Respond appropriately to changes in condition and medical emergencies.
Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Conduct rounds and assess residents/patients for changes in condition.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and medication administration.
Assist with staffing, assignments, and maintaining appropriate shift coverage.
Promote compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Provide leadership and support to staff while maintaining a positive work environment.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Address clinical concerns and assist with resolving issues that arise during the shift.
