The RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, appropriate, and goal-directed care within each neighborhood, providing support to direct nursing staff. This role requires familiarity with all policies and procedures, the ability to seek guidance when needed, and collaboration with medical doctors in emergent situations. The supervisor will support and promote family-centered care and maintain effective communication with family members. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, experience in change management, emotional intelligence, and demonstrated leadership in a residential or behavioral health setting. This position involves guiding and supervising nursing staff, performing clinical evaluations, initiating investigations of care issues, and interpreting policies and procedures. The role also includes providing input on employee performance, arranging coverage for shifts, and maintaining accurate records. The RN Supervisor will manage the night medication cabinet, attend management meetings, and round on neighborhoods to gather clinical information, support staff, and address family issues. Effective communication with other Center Departments regarding resident/family needs is essential.
