About The Position

AHMG Cardiology at Orlando is seeking a dedicated RN Supervisor to join their team. This role involves assisting cardiologists and APPs with in-office procedures and ancillary clinics, performing general nursing activities, and ensuring quality patient care. The supervisor will be responsible for interpreting electrocardiograms, managing pacemaker and defibrillator devices, and providing post-procedural follow-up care. They will also interpret and adjust anticoagulation therapy, prepare equipment for examinations, and maintain medical supplies and medication inventory. The role includes performing minor procedures independently and supervising various stress tests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive clinical expertise in cardiology, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to supervise exercise stress tests including nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, stress echos and chemical stress tests.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrocardiograms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong knowledge of EMR system
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Extensive clinical skills in the specific specialty or specialties
  • Ability to work with a variety of health care professionals and patients
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Shows initiative in growing professional knowledge by maintaining certification, BLS, and completion of an additional certification, related medical skill (i.e., phlebotomy certification), assists with practice huddles. Leads in a practice council or taking an AdventHealth Leadership/preceptor class.

  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • 1+ year experience with supervision of exercise stress tests including nuclear stress tests, treadmill stress tests, stress echos and chemical stress tests.
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to interrogate and adjust pacemaker and/or defibrillator devices
  • 1+ year experience as a clinical unit manager or supervisor
  • 2+ years professional nursing experience; cardiology office/clinic
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
  • Basic EKG Certification (BEKG)

Responsibilities

  • Assists cardiologists and APPs with in-office procedures and ancillary clinics.
  • Performs general nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.

  • Interrogates and adjusts pacemaker and defibrillator devices in collaboration with cardiologists.
  • Uses proper injection techniques and maintains sterile procedures.
  • Provides post-procedural follow-up care to patients.
  • Interprets and adjusts anticoagulation therapy under cardiologist guidance.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physicians during patient treatment and examinations.
  • Maintains medical supplies and medication counts, ensuring proper inventory control.
  • Ensures medication safety by monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
  • Performs minor procedures independently under the direction of cardiologists.
  • Supervises various stress tests, including nuclear, treadmill, and chemical stress tests.
