About The Position

Join BSWH McLane Children’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse Supervisor in the Emergency Room and be part of something better! This is a Full-Time position with Evening shifts, Monday-Friday, offering 8 or 10-hour shifts. Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center - Temple has a 20-bed emergency room specifically designed to address the unique needs of infants, children, and adolescents. The emergency department is equipped to handle all types of emergencies, from minor sprains and strains to major trauma. Our facility is verified as a Level II pediatric trauma center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma, making it the only pediatric trauma center between Dallas and Austin and the only Pediatric Hospital for Baylor Scott and White. McLane Children’s is also a Magnet-designated facility. Specialized equipment, including beds and blood pressure cuffs designed for children, a new "Flash" CT scanner (one of only three in the country for faster imaging and lower radiation dose), and spacious family-friendly rooms are available. A Child Life team assists children and families with the stress and anxiety of medical treatment. The department offers 24-hour pediatric emergency care, advanced surgical suites, a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging Center, a VeinViewer® illumination device, ECMO therapy, and pediatric and neonatal transport services.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC and ENPC certifications (obtainable within the first year)
  • Triage trained (within the first 2 years)
