About The Position
The Pediatric Infusion Center provides a comprehensive range of pediatric specialty services, including infusions and procedural care such as chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody administration, blood product administration, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy. We are seeking a qualified candidate who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to the evolving needs of our center.
Requirements
- New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification
- Strong IV skills, including experience with IV access devices (IVADs) and ports
Nice To Haves
- APHON certification
- Excellent prioritization and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care in an infusion setting.
- Administer intravenous therapies and medications as prescribed.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
