About The Position

Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an RN Supervisor for their Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. This role is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service. The position involves assisting with department-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement, and maintaining interdisciplinary collaborative relationships. The RN Supervisor will provide oversight to registered nurse and licensed practical clinical practices and participate in on-call duties as assigned. They will also assume the House Supervisor role as needed. The facility aims to provide a warm and caring environment that encourages social interaction and private time, helping residents stay mentally and physically active through various services and daily activities. Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Preferred.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Preferred.
  • LPN license with a solid clinical background and supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service.
  • Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are always provided to all customers.
  • Assists with department-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
  • Provide oversight to the registered nurse and licensed practical clinical practices.
  • Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
  • Assume House Supervisor role as needed.
