About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The role ensures that lab operations and employees comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies. The supervisor promotes staff development through education, performance evaluation, and goal setting, while also analyzing staffing requirements and assisting with justifications. The position involves performing patient care, assisting with procedures, and administering medications under physician supervision. It also participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care quality, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness. The supervisor analyzes capital equipment needs and assists with justifications. In the absence of the area supervisor, this role assumes responsibility for the EP, Pediatric Team Leaders, Cardiology, Enhanced External Counterpulsation, and holding areas. Additionally, the position coordinates risk management, failed medical device analysis, product safety recall management, and maintains a database for tracking failed medical devices per CMS policy.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree Required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
  • Intact sense of sight, hearing, touch, manual dexterity, and good eye hand coordination.

  • Bachelor's preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Ensures that the lab operations and employees are in compliance with regulatory agency standards, and policies and procedures.
  • Promotes staff development through education, performance evaluation, and identification of mutual goals that enhance continued professional growth as well analyzes requirements for staffing and assists in the preparation of justifications and recommendations.
  • Performs care, assists with procedures and administers medications under the supervision of the physician.
  • Participates with performance improvement activities to improve quality of patient care, promote patient outcomes and provide a cost effective environment for patient care.
  • Analyzes requirements for capital equipment and assists in the preparation of justifications and recommendations.
  • Assumes responsibility for the EP, Pediatric Team Leaders, Cardiology, Enhanced External Counterpulsation and the holding areas in the absence of the area supervisor.
  • Coordinates risk management and failed medical device analysis including product safety recall management and maintains database for tracking of all failed medical devices per CMS policy.
