About The Position

An Electrophysiology Technologist performs diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions in a clinical setting. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, ensuring that all equipment and instruments are functioning properly, monitoring read-outs or recordings during procedures, and assisting with lab analysis and data interpretation, communicating any issues to the physician or specialist.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid New York State RN license.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association only).
• Proficient in moderate sedation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cardiac implant or structural heart procedures.
• Familiarity with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures.
• Ensure all equipment and instruments are operational and ready for use.
• Monitor read-outs during procedures and assist with data analysis.
• Assist physicians with implementing pacing devices and installing other permanent devices related to cardiac health.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and third-party vendors to facilitate timely patient care.
• Assist in maintaining sterile fields and prepping equipment for studies and ablations.
• Document procedures using Epic software.
• Provide support during moderate sedation.
