About The Position

This role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, and serving as a primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Adherence to Standard Precautions and use of personal protective equipment are mandatory.

Requirements

• 2 years PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience required
• Traveler Step Down RN

Nice To Haves

• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
