About The Position

This is a Step Down Unit Nights position requiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years of experience. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The role involves titrating vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, managing trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes. Clinicians must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs, specifically to floors of lower acuity. Candidates must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months. The facility is an Acute Care Hospital with 233 total staffed beds and uses EPIC for charting. The required scrub color is Navy.

Requirements

2 years of experience required.
Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months.
ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications required.
Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Must be able to work 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift).
Must be able to work 36 guaranteed hours for 3-12s.
Must be able to manage titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, chest tubes.

Responsibilities

Provide care in a Step Down Unit on night shifts.
