About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking an RN-Staff Nurse for its Primary Care practice in Swansea, Massachusetts. This position is scheduled for 32 hours per week on the day shift, with varied start times of 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The nurse coordinates patient nursing care, participates in patient and family education, and provides leadership while working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other members of the patient care team. The role requires the knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to the patient groups regularly served. The position reports to the Director, Manager, or designee. Pay is determined based on experience, within a stated range of $34.28 to $56.33 per hour.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt once hired.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of related experience is preferred.
• Previous medical office experience is desirable.
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
• Three to five years of specific experience may be required based on practice or department specialty.
• ACLS certification may be required based on practice or department specialty.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
• Provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
