About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking an RN-Staff Nurse for Primary Care in Swansea, Massachusetts. This role is scheduled for 32 hours per week on the day shift, with varied start times of 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The nurse coordinates patient nursing care, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership through cooperative work with ancillary nursing staff and other members of the patient care team. The role requires knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients regularly served. The position reports to the Director, Manager, or designee. Compensation is based on experience, with a listed range of $34.28 to $56.33 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of related experience preferred.
Previous medical office experience is desirable.
Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
Three to five years of specific experience may be required based on practice or department specialty.
ACLS may be required based on practice or department specialty.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing care for patients.

Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
Provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
