About The Position

Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role focuses on patient and family-centered care, embodying the Legacy nursing philosophy. The hospital is a full-service medical center in the South metro area, offering a friendly community feel with advanced services in specialties like stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care, orthopedic and total joint surgery, and a birth center and breast health center. Relocation assistance is available for nurses new to Legacy Health.

Requirements

Current applicable state RN license required.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.
Must be able to meet the 45 minute call requirement.
Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Nice To Haves

BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
Previous PACU, emergency or critical care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit.
Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.
Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.
