About The Position

The RN Specialty II provides direct patient care in a designated specialty unit, following applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization's policies, values, and mission. This role plans, implements, and evaluates care based on patient assessments to optimize outcomes and make effective use of available resources. It monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition, delegates care appropriately, and collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care and address disposition, referral, spiritual, and psychosocial support needs. The nurse also evaluates the learning needs of patients and families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. The position is in Breast Oncology at Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The posting lists a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a tentative start date of November 30, 2026.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited nursing program.
One year of nursing experience.
Registered Nurse license in Florida or a compact multistate RN license.
Applicable Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Grace employee credential grace period.
Requires critical thinking and effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate is required for RNs administering chemotherapy.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Delegate patient care effectively to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
