Requirements
- ADN or Nursing Diploma
- CA RN license
- American Heart Association BLS
- American Heart Association ACLS

- 1+ years of RN experience
- Cardiology experience
- IV placement experience
- Autonomy experience
Responsibilities
- Working on computer messages and phone calls (about 90% of the position)
- Performing hands-on/in-person patient care (about 10%), mostly IV placement
- Working hand in hand with the Echo department placing IVs for contrasts
- Performing phone triage
- Giving procedure instructions and educating patients pre and post procedure
- Documenting patient interaction in Epic
- Ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience
- Practicing infection control
- Contributing to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your own scope of practice
- Complying with patient assessments and care tasks
- Completing clinical procedures
- Following emergency protocols
- Administering medication
- Working collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care
