Hospice of Wichita Falls is actively seeking premier compassionate nurses to join our Admission/Resource Team. We provide Care, Hope, and Support For All When Illness Threatens Life for our patients and families. We need you to help us fulfill our mission. Apply today! For over 40 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, or our free standing 24 bed inpatient center. It is our goal to provide premier care while honoring and upholding the patient's wishes whenever possible. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
  • Recipient of a current license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting.
  • Possess critical thinking skills.
  • Compassionate
  • Effective Communication both written and oral.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all patients visited have had their nursing needs addressed or determine the need for other team members to assist.
  • Assist the patient or family in determining the best plan of care that meets their needs.
  • Direct other team members and ensure that they are exceeding patient expectations.
  • Document care provided and ensure team members are also documenting their care.
  • Ensure documentation paints a clear picture of the patient for other team members.
