About The Position
The Resource RN is a float position that is responsible for providing skilled nursing intervention and supportive care in patients' homes, nursing homes or long term care facilities. This RN administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and plan of care. This position works three (3) twelve hour shifts per week from 10 am - 10:30 pm (Wednesday, Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.)
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years' experience, at least 1 year area of public health, home care, or hospice nursing is preferred
Responsibilities
- Responds to medical or emotional crisis of patient/families and make home visits to provide direct care as appropriate.
- Provides skilled nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and patient/family education
- Completes, maintains and submits accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding patient’s condition and care given.
- Triage calls to physicians/DME and pharmacy if situation necessitates.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains accurate documentation, and meets quality and performance metrics
