About The Position
The Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program is an opportunity for new graduate RNs or experienced RNs transitioning to hospital nursing or a new specialty area. The program supports the development of nursing practice, competence, autonomy, and connection to purpose. Resident RNs receive classroom instruction and clinical hours with experienced preceptors, advancing their education and knowledge while developing skills to provide quality patient care and services. This position is for the Cardiac Care PCU at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in the February 22nd cohort. The role is listed as 0.9 FTE, with a 12/40 schedule and variable shift. Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region and provides inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services.
Responsibilities
- Participate in classroom instruction and clinical hours as part of the Transition to Practice Program.
- Develop nursing practice, competence, and autonomy with support from expert preceptors.
