RN Progressive Care
About The Position
The RN Progressive Care position delivers accountable nursing care in a 22-bed progressive, non-ICU unit at Blodgett Hospital. The unit cares for medically complex patients, including those with cardiac arrhythmias and those requiring BiPAP. It is known for teamwork, dedication to excellence, and opportunities to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. The nurse practices in accordance with American Nurses Association standards and Michigan law, using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The role upholds professional performance standards through ethical and culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The goal is to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The position is based at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The scheduled workload is 36 hours per week, with a variable shift.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within five years.
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
