About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff RN to join its hospital-based team. The nurse will use specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. MultiCare describes its nursing environment as one that supports nurses’ participation in clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and connection with colleagues. The position is at MultiCare Covington Medical Center, a 58-bed facility serving southeast King County. The center provides inpatient and outpatient surgical care, a birth center, primary and specialty care, urgent care, a 24-hour Emergency Department, pharmacy, laboratory, and imaging services. The position is 0.6 FTE on a day shift, with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care according to the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
