About The Position

The Pre-Op Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process for each assigned patient, regardless of age, and delivering care consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. This role focuses on promoting positive patient outcomes and quality care delivery. The registered nurse actively participates in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils to drive change and foster a healthy professional practice environment. Utilizing National Professional Nursing Standards, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and sound nursing judgment, the registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to improve patient outcomes. The role also involves serving as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning, using the Nursing Process as the framework for care.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky License
• BCLS required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Willing to cross train in Endo/Pre-Post Areas
