Outpatient Surgery RN - Pre/Post
About The Position
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center nurse manages and provides care to patients and their families, and directs and supervises nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, delegates, and evaluates patient care in alignment with the professional practice model. The role contributes to staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. The Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute is an outpatient surgery center focused on sports medicine, orthopedic, and hand surgeries. It has six operating rooms and 19 pre/post bays and averages 18–25 cases daily. Pre/post staff care for two patients at a time. The institute operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is closed on weekends and holidays. Patients must fall within the center’s scope of care to ensure their safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
- Current Ohio licensure or interim permit.
- Two-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous surgical center experience.
