About The Position
The person in this role will handle incoming emergency calls from the State of Wisconsin public and health care providers in an office setting. Provide caller with assessment, evaluation, disposition, and education and prevention information regarding human toxic exposures using medically approved guidelines in computer software systems. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Associate or Bachelor's degree) required OR Pharmacist with Bachelor's degree.
- License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin OR License Pharmacist (40) - State of Wisconsin.
- Must live within a commutable distance to Wauwatosa, WI.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical or Poison Center experience (if a Pharmacist).
- Three years of clinical experience in acute, ambulatory care or a pediatric setting.
- Previous experience in an AAPCC certified Poison Center.
- After passing the exam to become a "certified" Poison Information Specialist - overnight hours are required.
