About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Cardiology Outpatient setting. The core function of this role is nursing, involving the planning, organization, coordination, and provision of professional specialty nursing care for patients. This includes assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The nurse will administer nursing care to patients and may advise them on health maintenance, disease prevention, or provide case management.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred, but not required.
• 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and provide professional specialty nursing care for patients by following established medical standards and protocols.
• Assess patient health problems and needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
