About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The position is at Peachtree Dunwoody Outpatient Surgery Center in Ophthalmology.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) credential.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Practice within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
