About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. This position is at the Alpharetta Outpatient Surgery Center and works 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Weekend and on-call work are not required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Practice within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
