About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The position is for the PeriOp service at the Peachtree Dunwoody Outpatient Surgery Center (Ophthalmology).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
