About The Position
Provides nursing services to patients requiring care. Assesses patients’ physical, psychosocial, and learning needs, then develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care based on those assessments. Delegates appropriate tasks and supervises ancillary staff.
Requirements
- Enroll in a BSN or MSN program at an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire, and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date in a nursing position. The posting lists grandfathered exemptions for employees hired on or before May 31, 2013 (IMC), August 4, 2015 (IMCW), or May 31, 2023 (IMCM).
- Previous experience in psychiatry.
- Current registration with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Welle certification; training will be provided.
- BLS certification.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Clinical knowledge, nursing competence, basic leadership skills, and decision-making ability.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or MSN graduate.
- At least one year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- National certification.
