About The Position
The RN, Patient Flow is responsible for various aspects of patient flow throughout the continuum of care. The role requires excellent communication skills and critical thinking to coordinate Command Center activities. The RN collaborates with internal and external physicians, supervisors, and leadership to facilitate the safe movement of patients into appropriate inpatient rooms or other appropriate areas of the hospital. Command Center RNs work in both the Transfer Center and Bed Control roles to manage patient flow and facilitate operations.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- At least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a health-related field.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate various aspects of patient flow throughout the continuum of care.
- Coordinate the activities of the Command Center.
- Collaborate with internal and external physicians, supervisors, and leadership to facilitate the safe movement of patients into appropriate inpatient rooms or other appropriate hospital areas.
- Perform both Transfer Center and Bed Control roles to manage patient flow and facilitate operations.
