About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join the hospital-based orthopedic team. The RN uses specialized training, knowledge, and a multidisciplinary approach to provide nursing care. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, maintain open communication with colleagues, receive support for professional development, and contribute to the organization’s nursing practice. This position is based at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. The hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services and includes a Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine program, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role is scheduled for day shifts at 0.9 FTE. The listed pay scale is $43.85–$80.58 USD; compensation may vary based on skills, experience, certifications, and education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
