About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team and provide specialized nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach. The organization emphasizes nurse involvement in clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and support for the future of nursing. The role is based at MultiCare Capital Medical Center, a 107-bed community hospital serving Olympia and surrounding communities. The position is per diem, with 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday and availability for one day per week.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
