About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care by assessing patients, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. Working in an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The position is at Saint Joseph East, a 217-bed, full-service community hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. The hospital includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East and a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing, upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license in Kentucky, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR), within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Assess patients and analyze problems and conditions using critical decision-making to determine the need for standard, urgent, or emergent interventions.
• Implement or modify plans of care using assessment data, standards of care, and evidence-based practice, including nursing care coordination, patient and family education, and discharge planning.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary partnerships in patient care.
• Integrate ethical provisions into nursing practice and protect patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate progress toward desired patient outcomes.
