About The Position

This is a contract position for an RN in the Operating Room. The role involves assessing patients' mental, physical, and spiritual needs, and developing an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse will provide explanations and instructions to patients and their families, utilize clinical judgment to monitor patient condition changes, and contribute to a healthy work environment through professional communication and conflict management. The position also requires meeting Core Measure responsibilities, participating in continuing education, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS
• ACLS-PALS

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
