About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Mattoon, IL. This is a 20-week assignment with a work week from Sunday to Saturday, featuring 12-hour night shifts for a total of 36 expected hours per week. The position is open to both local and travel candidates, with a radius rule of 50 miles. The ICU is a 14-bed unit serving adult patients aged 16 and up. The patient population includes cases such as sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular conditions, strokes, and patients requiring vents and trachs. Candidates must be trained in Impella, IABP, and CRRT (SBL uses Prismax). Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The role may involve floating to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical/Surgical units.
Requirements
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Experience with patients aged 16 years and up.
- Experience with patient populations: Sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular, strokes, vents and trachs.
- Trained in Impella, IABP, C RRT (SBL uses Prismax).
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
Nice To Haves
- CCRN certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Manage patients with conditions including sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular issues, strokes.
- Care for patients requiring ventilation and tracheostomy.
- Operate and monitor Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax).
- Float to PCU or Med/Surg units as needed.
Benefits
- Total weekly gross pay of $2412.
- $67/hour, with $31/hour taxable and $36/hour non-taxable stipend.
