About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The position is located at Ground FL, Atlanta. Work hours are 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, with rotating weekend requirements and on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Georgia RN license in good standing without limitations.
• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide professional nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
