About The Position

Elderwood at Lancaster is seeking experienced Registered Nurse Supervisors for day, evening and overnight shifts. In this role, you will provide clinical oversight, guide nursing employees, and help ensure residents receive coordinated, high-quality care throughout your shift. You will remain closely connected to residents and daily clinical practice while partnering with nursing leadership to support staff development, clinical quality, and regulatory readiness. This position offers opportunities to lead and support a nursing team during a consistent eight-hour shift, remain actively connected to residents and hands-on clinical practice, apply advanced assessment, clinical decision-making, and care-coordination skills, work alongside an interdisciplinary clinical team, build meaningful, long-term relationships with residents and families, and strengthen your nursing leadership experience.

Requirements

  • Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
  • Interest or experience in geriatrics
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing care services and nursing personnel across assigned units
  • Conduct rounds and provide clinical support and guidance to staff
  • Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication of changes
  • Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight
  • Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery
  • Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff
  • Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately
  • Participate in shift-to-shift communication and operational updates
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, team-focused environment
  • Help maintain compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and nursing regulations
  • Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives
  • Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, and survey readiness
  • Participate in QAPI and performance improvement efforts
