About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients. NURSING PSYCHIATRY DEPARTMENT - N6. Full-Time. 8pm – 8:30am.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required
  • Current NYS licensure as RN required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • 1+ years of nursing Psychiatric experience required.
  • Clinical skills for patient care delivery through the nursing process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills
  • Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Current ACLS certification preferred.
  • fluency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the interview and evaluation of new health care team members
  • Acts as preceptor for new health care team members
  • Utilizes computer systems as they pertain to job responsibilities and in accordance with hospital policy
  • Assures a safe environment and milieu in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Participates in MMC’s ongoing Quality Performance Improvement initiatives; identifies opportunities for organizational improvements.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
