About The Position

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multispecialty Care team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on acute patient care at the bedside. This role assists in oversight and leadership within assigned area of responsibility. Duties may include assisting in the management of the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities; planning and allocating resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals; making business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures; reviewing performance data that includes quality, satisfaction, engagement, and financial reports; monitoring and measuring productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness; participating in the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the area of responsibility; preparing periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track goal accomplishment; and leading colleagues using performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage colleague contribution. The primary duty includes the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge, in a field of science or learning, and which requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment and/or includes managing a department and regularly directing the work of at least two or more employees. Supervisory authority includes authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, responsibly direct or adjust grievances. May evaluate performance and professional development of staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
3 years staff nurse (RN) is required.
Licensed in state of practice (RN) is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Nice To Haves

May consider a candidate who is currently enrolled and a bachelor’s of nursing (BSN) is obtained within 2 years of hire.
Demonstrated progressive responsibility is preferred.
