About The Position

The RN Nurse Manager will provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit. This role involves consulting with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies, and ensuring nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager will also participate in incident investigations, prepare related reports, and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs. They will implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice and serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director. This position is located at Palomar Health in Escondido, CA, a busy, community-focused healthcare setting where nurses are part of interdisciplinary care teams and support patients through a wide range of clinical needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program; BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BCLS required.
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • CRRN preferred.
