About The Position

This is a full-time, night shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Community Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. The role involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting, developing nursing care plans, communicating patient condition changes, and participating in discharge planning. The hospital offers a supportive 12-16 week orientation with experienced mentors and an evidence-based Nurse Residency program for the first year. Community Medical Center is a 151-bed hospital in Missoula, MT, committed to making communities healthier.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Develops nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
• Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
• Participates in discharges planning process.
