About The Position

West Penn’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 63 bed Level III Nursery that treats critically ill infants from more than 200 communities throughout western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia. This unit has private rooms that allow family members to sleep-in with their babies, and also has 3 couplet rooms for twins. They have the ability to care for our critically ill infants, along with our feeders/growers population within the unit. The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. The Registered Nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable to patients for the quality of care delivered.

Requirements

Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
CPR certification

Nice To Haves

Certification in NICU nursing (RNC-NIC)
1 year or more of hospital RN nursing experience
